Statement of Faith
We believe in Christ’s Great Commission to the Church to go into all the world and preach the Gospel and to preach the soul-saving, signs-following gospel of Jesus Christ with the Lord working with them, confirming and attesting their message and that power has been given through the Holy Spirit to be His witnesses. It is our solemn and joyful duty to share the Gospel of Jesus and His blood in its full atoning power to the saved and unsaved. (Matt. 28:19, Mark 16:15-20, Acts. 1:8)
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that in Jesus Christ “dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” (Col. 2:9; Deut. 6:4; John 10:30; John 14:26; John 15:26; Matt. 28:19)
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutional and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. (1 Tim. 3:16; Acts 1:11; Rom. 8:34)
We believe in complete salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and obedience to the Gospel by repentance of sins with an outward sign and decision to follow Jesus as a disciple into the waters of baptism by immersion in water, enjoying the blessing of burying the old life and being raised in resurrection power through the Holy Spirit into their new life and be seated in Heavenly Places in Christ. (Eph. 2:8; Acts 2:38; Acts 8:35–39)
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (11 Cor. 7:1; Heb. 12:10–14; 1 Thess. 4:7; Rom. 8: 1, 2)
We believe that it is the Holy Spirit is a Person in the Trinity (Jesus refers to the Holy Spirit as He) who magnifies Jesus and declares Him. He is the Advocate, the Comforter, the One who leads and guides us into all truth. The Holy Spirit is Lord and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Freedom. As Lord, His voice is to be obeyed and followed through inner witness, dreams, visions and scripture. He leads the children of God into all truth and convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. (Acts 2:17, John 6:13, John 14:12, Rom. 8:14, John 16:8-11)
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit giveth utterance, and in the manifestation of the Holy Spirit operative in the Church and followers of Jesus Christ. We also believe that prophecy can manifest with the baptism as well. (Acts 2:38, 39; Acts 19:6; 1 Cor. 12: 4–11)
We believe that God so loved the whole world, that He gave His one and only Son Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in Him, would not perish eternally but have eternal life. He didn’t send Him into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved. We believe that he who believes in Him is not condemned; but he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. We believe all men everywhere can be found by God and find God and thus be saved and born again rather than remain lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, we believe that God will reward the righteous with eternal life in heaven, and that He will banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment in hell. We believe that the parable of the lost coin and the prodigal son indicate the heart of God, that Jesus is still seeking and saving the lost and has died as our atonement for everyone in the entire world if they would believe in Him, will to be saved!
Luke 24:46-47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; John 3:16, Luke 15, Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:10-11; Ephesians 1:7 and 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7.
We believe in the final eternal judgment for a person who does not receive the free gift of forgiveness and salvation is to be condemned and be cast into the lake of fire and for those who choose to receive the free gift and joy of forgiveness and salvation will have life with Jesus in Heaven for all eternity. (Revelations 20: 11–15, John 3:16)
We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made for each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female.
(Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9.)
We believe human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage. Marriage constitutes a bond of lifetime monogamous commitment between one biological man and one biological woman and that it is the only legitimate, honorable and holy estate instituted by God as outlined in the Holy Bible. It was ordained by God as the foundation and bond of family life for the mutual help and comfort of husband and wife, and for the welfare of a nation.
(Gen. 2:26–25; Prov. 18:22; Feb.13:4; 1 Cor. 8:10; 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Rom. 1:24–32)
